Plex Movie Metadata Agent has the wrong year for Unthinkable

people have put in different film festivals it was released at. Is there a way to tell the plex agent which one to use?

Plex should default to the first “theatrical” release date. Film festivals usually don’t count.

Unthinkable is the only oddball. Both sites have the correct dates. When I looked in the additional dates on imdb the 2009 one wasn’t listed.

Did you tell Plex to “prefer embedded meta tags”? The wrong date could be stored inside a mp4/m4v file.

Does the plex agent get cached and is there a way to clear that cache?

Only if you still use the old deprecated agents (i.e. NOT “Plex Movie”):

There were a few date-related bugs in PMS 1.26.0 which have been fixed in PMS 1.26.1 Please update to this beta version and re-evaluate.
