Plex Movies and TV showing like somebody has started watching several movies under Continue Watching on the Roku Plex

I hope I’m posting this in the right spot. I’ve logged under the website admin for my Plex account, and it doesn’t seem to show the Continue Watching for the Plex Movies & TV section. It only seems to show up on my Roku Plex App.

For a few weeks now, I’ve noticed that there are multiple movies that appear as if someone has watched half or maybe even just a few minutes of a movie under a section called Continue Watching. I haven’t watched any movies and neither has my wife. We connect to Plex through the Roku and also through an app on our FireTV.

I tried resetting my password and disconnecting any open sessions to the server. I reconnected my account to the server, re-linked the TV and Roku to the server, and today I looked and there are more movies that seem to have been started under the Continue Watching.

This only seems to effect Plex Movies & TV. I don’t have any other anomalous views under Movies or TV that I’ve uploaded into my Plex Library. It just strikes me as very odd.

Is there some way that someone could be watching the movies under my account that I’m not aware of? Or is this some kind of visual bug? I tried to do some looking under the forums, but I didn’t see anybody else talking about this issue.

I have seen this behavior as well. In the iOS app and

I have also noticed this behavior on the iPhone app. Movies appear under the Continue Watching section that I haven’t ever watched. I’m the only one using Plex at home so it’s not another family member.

To clarify, these are online movies and shows, not things from my media server.
