Plex multi site distribution

Hello Plex people,

I had some questions regarding how user accounts work and so see if my situation warrants the use of Plex or some other kind of software. My situation is this our organization wants to try and distribute video content to three different sites at the same time. The sites consist of a few TVs at each site the 8 at one 3 at the other two. They are not smart TVs so what would you recommend hardware wise for this Roku, chromecast, amazon fire stick? Next does if I have all of these devices do I need to make a user account for each or can I just use one account with multiple logins? One last question does Plex have any enterprise support available? If I was going to run the Plex software it would be in a 2012 Microsoft server environment. Thank you so much for your help. If there are support articles that explain this stuff better please point me to them.

Any of the hardware you mentioned should work.

Yes you can have multiple concurrent logins from the same user.
But if you give each site their own login you can control what content each site can view. (If that is a requirement for you)

Not sure about any enterprise edition but Plex Pass will be required for your server.

Plex will allow multiple locations to view the same content, but each location has to initiate the stream. Plex does not have a tandem playback feature where one user can say “Play this video on all these devices.”

Plex’s concept is aimed more to the typical home user.

That being said, you can try Plex server and some of its Plex clients for free. Evaluate how they work and base your assessment on this practical experience.
I recommend you use 2 user accounts: one for the administration of your Plex server and one into which the clients ‘sign in’. Maybe use a third account to allow distinguishing between the 2 sites. (plex.tv accounts are free to create)
Then share the media of the server to these additional accounts.

But I think what you seek is a kind of ‘Digital Signage’ software which allows you to define a list of media to play and repeat, content controlled centrally, but cached locally to compensate for the occasional connectivity drop. This, Plex is not.
