Plex Music Offline Syncing - Original Quality Always Converting

Hey -
I’ve been having this issue for some time. My entire library is in ALAC format and my iOS App is set to always play/sync music at its original quality. But when I go to sync songs offline, the files always convert first before downloading.

Shouldn’t it just go straight to downloading? What format is it converting to?

So hope you get an answer. I’m eager to learn what to do or why a direct sync won’t happen.

Well there you have it. PMS version announced today.

  • (iOS) Allow syncing ALAC music without conversion.

Works perfectly from my iPhone 7 Plus, rapid now too. Checked out doing it via PMS too… got a bit lost with the following option (see screenshot). Wondered if some could help?
