I am running an Apple TV 4 and when I attempt to browse a particular artist’s albums, I can only see about 15 of the stated 250+ albums. the rest show as Untitled and are not accessible here, though they are accessible by searching the album. Essentially I cannot browse to an album without knowing the name of it. I am able to properly see all of the albums on the Web UI as well as via iOS app, It appears that this issue is exclusive to the Apple TV player.
This article :: Plex Music - Untitled, unplayable albums under artist view describes the identical issue that was occuring on mobile, which has since been fixed. Oddly enough, Phish was the artist of issue in that article, and it is also the artist that I am having trouble with viewing.
I have tried rescanning, adding and removing the albums in question, reinstalling the app - nothing seems to work. Plex team, please take a look!
PMS version 1.16.5.1554-1e5ff713d on Synology DS718+

plex player client would be newest version, apple tv is set to install all updates automatically, will verify when i am home
I believe I have the same issue for one of my artists. On ATV4K in artist view it brings up 50 albums with thumbnails the other 29 are blank squares. If you click on the blank square nothing happens. In album view all 79 album thumbnails show/play. On the iPhone app all 79 albums show in artist view or album view. Running latest version of server and apps.
I have the same problem. I only have one artist - The Beatles - and their first two albums, “Please Please Me (Mono)” and “Please Please Me (Stereo)” don’t show up in their artist view. Instead of that, two black icons with the title “The Beatles” appear and I can’t interact with them. The albums do appear when exploring the library by album, though.
There’s definitely a problem when having more than 50 albums. With 50 albums, they are displayed without problems. Add one more album, and it displays the blank album and it “eats up” another album. There’s definitely a bug with Apple TV.
Ah, sorry, yes, though it’s not good news. There was a fix but it caused other issues apparently so the fix was rolled back. I don’t know that there is any kind of an ETA ror this issue on the Apple TV, sorry
