Hi, I have an issue where my music will not play but only from the “All” view (which is basically an Artist View). I just get “loading” and the spinning icon. If I select using “By Album” everything works. What is more, if I try the “All” view from a web client it works, if I try from a PlayStation it works. Just not the Apple TV. I can recreate the issue regardless of whether the data is presented to the Apple TV from Plex running inside a Synology NAS or from a Plex instance running on a Mac using local storage. Always the same, the Apple TV will not play music from the “All” page. My AppleTV has been restarted, reset to defaults, I even tried updating from 11.1 to 11.2 Public Beta 4, no luck. I would be very grateful for any suggestions.
I can confirm this on the latest tvOS release w/ Plex for Apple TV 1.20. This is not limited to the “All” view (I agree… odd name when it could be named “Artists” instead) but it happens in every view when you try to load the artist overview. Accessing individual albums, playlists or titles works flawlessly.
Yes! Like if (one example) you pick the genre view, that is really just a filtered album view. Any variation of an album view works. But not anything that is an artist view. Thanks tom80H I thought I was the only one… now… what is the solution?
hoping for the Plex for Apple TV v1.21 to fix it and and keeping an eye on release announcements.
When looking to raise this as a bug/issue discussion in the Apple TV forum, I noticed it is already acknowledged and a fix is being promised.
