I’m getting really tired of my users not being to remove stuff easily and telling me they don’t want all the extra stuff on the homepage including: Plex movies & tv, podcasts, news, etc. They say the look of the new UI is good, but a little confusing to use when they first start. The first thing a number of users have said is “What’s all this other stuff / crap? I will never use it”
Not everybody is tech savvy. Plex is suppose to be about our content and the way we want it and our users want it. If I wanted movies and tv shows added for me I would’ve signed up for Netflix. There’s no commercials LoL… I’m not knocking the features but these need to be turned off by default. If you want them the admin can turn them on.
I understand why the movies & tv wouldn’t be,turned off by default because Plex is making money off of them. You do realize we are already paying for the software?? Please start giving admins more control. Some of my users have asked me to switch to Emby because it has a simpler homepage. I still like Plex, but it starting to get frustrating when I just can’t go and simply turn something off for a user…
