I am just wondering what plex does in 2 hours maintenance every night.
Energy consumption rises exactly for those two hours from 3 to 5 o`clock. Is it not enough for plex to do its magic? because if it is busy for two hours and then has to stop it is certainly not done, right?
would be great if somebody could explain this to me.

I bet it’s the new credits detection.
On larger libraries and lower powered devices this can run for WEEKS straight, so if you are only allowing 2 hours each night, go figure.
You might want to disable unwanted features.
I am hosting on a powerful ryzen 6 core CPU and gave the scheduler 6 hours now. will have a look if it settles soon. my library is quite large (5000 movies and some tv shows).
