I’ve posted a long standing issue that I have had with playing files on ipad in the Plex Player/mobile forum.
In summary this seems to affect .mp4 files that Plex sends via direct play.
I get a second of buffering every 10 minutes or so, even with optimised versions.
The reason I am also posting here is due an issue with plex media server. 1.13.5.5291-6fa5e50a8.
Previously I could fix my buffering problem by deselecting direct play in the web/debug settings.
I have done this but Plex still continues to play .mp4 files via direct play, meaning I run into the same buffering issues.
Is there anything else I can do to force Plex to transcode or can anyone please help and suggest a fix to my underlying problem?
