Issues with playing certain media files on various Plex apps

When playing different movies/tv shows, some play fine with no issues and others get stuck on buffering from the start.

This started about 2 weeks ago with no setting changes, all files have played fine before hand.

It happens both localy and remote, on all apps I’ve tried (iOS, on LG TV, on android TV), however plays without issue on a web browser both on PC and Phone.

It seems to only be when using direct play. Using direct stream or forcing transcode by changeing quality, it starts working without issue.

I’ve tried to determine if it’s a certain codec or container that’s causing the issue, but can’t narrow anything down.

Any suggestions would be appreciated?

Ive also been experiencing the same issue. Some users cant start any movie or tv show at all and others are having issues if they have put subtitles on. This is a brand new issue and i was able to get it resolved by rolling back to an older version.
