If I’ve been following what you’ve posted, I don’t see that you’ve set the HDHomeRun profile to Heavy:
I’m not sure that should matter though… I’ve worked all manner of these settings and I’ve seen acceptable results every time with varying degrees of quality, obviously.
I haven’t once experienced your issues.

Does not work when I set HDHomeRun to Heavy
and Plex to Highest quality
Same result as before: no video, audio only.
**…bump… **
Anyone at Plex reading this?
The quality is going to depend on the client being used. To get decent playback on my iPhone, while on cell network/data not WiFi, I had to switch my Extend setting in Plex to Medium Quality 540p just to get a fairly decent video that was not buffering constantly. I would not want that setting for recording though. The setting in Plex is what will be used when recording or watching Live TV so you do not need any setting on the Extend itself. Plex actually sends the video setting as part of the URL when it starts a stream request from the HDHR Extend. You will see a line that looks something like: http://192.168.1.100:5004/auto/v5.1?transcode=mobile
What I am hoping Plex will do in the future is determine what is the client capabilities for streaming and use the appropriate setting for the Extend based on client needs. Then we can have one setting for recordings and not have to worry about Live TV. However, this could cause other issues if for example I am recording a show using Highest Quality transcode setting and I then want to watch the same show on my iPhone while on cell network which would not be able to handle the same stream? Plex would probably then have to utilize two tuners for the same show, one for the recording and one for the Live TV.
Hmm. I thought I wrote a response but I don’t see it. Anyways.
We’ve tried to reproduce your issue and can’t. There’s nothing in your logs to indicate anything is wrong. Can you record a show for about 1 minute then upload that file to a sharing site like google drive and provide me a link to that file. Also provide me the PMS logs when you are producing this file.

Thank you. I will take care of this and provide the information in a day or two.
Good evening. I did some research on my OTA stations. It’s a mix of interlaced and progressive scan stations, with interlaced comprising a majority of them.
Not sure if this has anything to do with my issue. Will finally have some time this week to do the recording for Plex Support/
