Plex not playing VC1 files

My server is on Dell i7 XPS8960 PC. I have not had any issues playing VC1 movies on my Roku devices in the past. However now they won’t play on multiple Roku devices. I can play 4K movies on these devices. I can play H.264 movies as well.

I tried 6 different movies, all start loading but stop at 33%.
What can I try?

Update: I unchecked the following box in transcoding setting: Use hardware-accelerated video encoding.

Use hardware-acceleration when available - Is checked.

The files are now playing.
Is this what they should be?

I think I am having the same issue. VC1 files won’t transcode to 1080 anymore, 720 still works fine for me. I think this started with 1.41.8.9834, but I am not 100% sure.

I’ve started having this issue too. Vc1 will not play at 1080p on any client including the server. They play fine at 720p in plex, or direct in VLC.

Anyone found a fix?

Any reason no response to these? I just discovered I have same issue. I have 200+ 4K movies on server and one HD. The one HD (VC1) will not play. It will play if res is reduced to 720.
