Using Win 10 Pro. I have a TV show that is 10 seasons long and has a lot of specials as well. Plex is putting the specials in their own “folder”. The way I want to see them in Plex, is the way I have them dispersed and organized in the various seasons folders on my HDD. How do I get them to show up in Plex as I have them in my folders on my HDD?
right now you don’t.
Originally, Plex only matched the TVDB approach of moving everything into a Specials/Season 00 folder. By now, in combination with Plex Pass, they’ll show some number of online extras in line with seasons or the tv show. This option is however not yet enabled for local extras (e.g. the same way we already can use it for movies).
I’m desperately missing that feature myself as I’ve got a number of shows with extras that don’t fit the Specialspattern and for which I’d like to be able to display them as deleted scenes / shorts / featurettes / interviews / scenes / behind the scenes / … on the level of a show, season or episode (such as “gag reel, season 1”, “deleted scenes, episode 4”…).
Plex already had my hopes high some months ago when they announced the support for extras on TV show’s, seasons and episodes (wow… I cannot believe that was already in summer 2016 :’( )
One thing you can do to keep them in the season you have them in is to give season number and a number higher than the number of episodes in that season.
IE: S01E99
That will cause Plex to keep it within that season.
I do this all the time for the same reasons you describe.

Thank you! I will try that
