Plex Not Syncing Play Count from Mobile to Server

  1. Play song in mobile (using Android app)

  1. Assure song is fully played and play count in mobile app reflects the latest play

  1. Search for song on server and review play count

Result: the time the song was played on the mobile device is not reflects in the servers play count.

Nearly a month with no reply. Just wanted to mention that I started using PlexAmp and it’s been a much better experience for playing music on my phone vs using the Plex app.

I’m having the same issue. It only happens with some tracks though and not others. I’m using a Synology NAS as the server and Plexamp on my iPhone. Most of the tracks I play using Plexamp show in the recently played playlist. But the last played and play count data doesn’t seem to come across. This is annoying as I have smart lists for play counts (e.g. Unplayed, played once, played twice). Having a large music library I like to see how many times I’ve listened to a particular track.
