Plex not updating library

windows 11 latest update of plex. I just found out that plex is not updating library at all. Not when I add new movies or when i delete a file from the plex library folder, and even after telling it to update library and rescan the library folder, plex is not removing the movies from the library or adding the new ones. new movies have been added to the folder and the other ones have been deleted from the folder yet they are still there in plex. if I select the movie it shows a play button. When i click play it says the file cannot be found then gives me a red unavailable button.

why is it not updating my library? the folder is not empty, plex is set to scan when any folder changes are mode and also I manually scanned but nothing works. it wont add new movies or remove deleted movies.

figured it out. I recently changed the main folder name. Unfortunately I didn’t get any other notification that the folder was no longer accessible but that’s what it was.
