Plex not updating via Putty

I’m sorry I don’t understand what you are asking above, my friend built me a Plex server about 3 years ago and ever since then I have followed the instructions below (changing the version numbers) to update my Plex server. Up until the latest update it had worked fine but now its not working i get the following error message in Putty: HTTP request sent, awaiting response… 404 Not Found

This is what I add to putty to update Plex

sudo wget https://downloads.plex.tv/plex-media-server/1.15.3.876-ad6e39743_/plexmediaserver_1.15.3.876-ad6e39743_amd64.deb

sudo dpkg -i /home/wayne/plexmediaserver_plexmediaserver_1.15.3.876-ad6e39743_amd64.deb**

sudo reboot**

I am sure its a simple fix fro you guys but this is a whole different language to me.

I think the link has changed:

It is now:

https://downloads.plex.tv/plex-media-server-new/1.15.3.876-ad6e39743/debian/plexmediaserver_1.15.3.876-ad6e39743_amd64.deb

so you would need to change the link in your wget command

Thank you for this, this did download the file but when i try to unpack it and install using the sudo dpkg -i /home/wayne/plexmediaserver_plexmediaserver_1.15.3.876-ad6e39743_amd64.deb command I get the following error

dpkg: error processing archive /home/wayne/plexmediaserver_plexmediaserver_1.15.3.876-ad6e39743_amd64.deb (–install):
cannot access archive: No such file or directory
Errors were encountered while processing:
/home/wayne/plexmediaserver_plexmediaserver_1.15.3.876-ad6e39743_amd64.deb

any idea how to fix this as well.

you have plexmediaserver_ listed twice in your unpack command. file is plexmediaserver_1.15.3.876-ad6e39743_amd64.deb

So the command should be:

sudo dpkg -i /home/wayne/plexmediaserver_1.15.3.876-ad6e39743_amd64.deb
