I’ve been noticing glitches in downloaded AV1 videos since the new version, but I thought it was the video despite my trust in the source. Finally tried playing the vid in VLC and no glitches. Tried another. No glitches. The only thing that’s changed that I’m aware of is Plex. I’ve made no changes to my settings, either on Plex or on Fire.
I’m so mad. I rely on and trust Plex. I have a lifetime pass and I want to stick with Plex. Is there a solution, setting, or *something* I can adjust to fix this? I really hope the devs or whoever address this soon in an update!
I only use Plex on my TV (TCL Google with a Firestick 4K with Win 11 as Plex media server).
The glitches are all the same: most of the screen turns magenta and black with some other colors along with the audio jumping. I lose 4-5 seconds.
I re-ran one of the glitchy AV1 and it was a little better, but the H264 version ran 100%.
Since then, I’ve reverted to version 10.30.9.4262, which has its own problem, but at least I know how to handle it. If you’re interested, I often have to click on a folder in a library, then go back and do it one or two more times before the contents will show. The new version didn’t do that, so that’s one point for it.
