Plex on 918+ started hanging recently

Player Version#: 1.18.5.2309

Started to happen the last 2-3 weeks, more and more the last few days. Have to restart the package manually in Package Manager because Plex is not responding on web/apps.
Had PMS 1.18.3 when it first started but updated to 1.18.5 hoping it would fix it, but it just got worse.

Never had any issues with PMS or the NAS before this began.

EDIT: The last crash happened around 23:00 at 7 February. The logs are from just after that.

I have a 218+ but mine did also, as soon as I upgraded to 1.18.5.2309. I don’t know that in two years I’ve had to manually stop and start the package ever. Now, in the last week, I’ve done it 3 or 4 times. Plex players, whether web, rasplex, Apple TV player, or iPhone/iPad app just stop hearing back from the server.

I haven’t been able to see what is going on in the logs (and I don’t know the first thing about looking through a zip file with 50 log files). I regularly have an XML parser error (encoding type gbk no supported), but so regularly that I doubt it’s causing the crash.

this is very similar to whats happening to mine and its driving me crazy.

There’s a possibility that 1.18.6.2368 fixes this - worth a try?

Is it possible you are accessing PMS from a smart TV Plex app? The latest PMS releases seem to be susceptible to crashing. Visio Plex 3.13.13 Stopped working when updated to PMS 1.18.4.2171
