Plex on Android devices accesses wrong libraries

My preferred view of different libraries in Plex is in “Library” view, not “Recommended”, and Folder view within Library view.
On my Android devices (both phone and tablet), Libraries that I select and that come up in Library>Folder view are OK. But libraries that, for whatever reason, come up in Recommended view have a problem: specifically, when I switch to Library view, the contents are wrong because they contain the previous library view. For example, a Library “Jazz and Blues” comes up right away in Library view and is just fine, but another library “Popular and Rock” comes up in Recommended view and when I switch to Library view, the contents are those of Jazz and Blues, which I opened previously. If I go to another library and then come back, Popular and Rock is back to Recommended view and the problem recurs. Makes it unrewarding to cast music from phone or tablet to audio devices because only about half my libraries are correct!

Plex on my computer works fine. Plex on my TV via Roku is fine. The problem occurs only on Android devices.

I’ve tried uninstalling Plex on phone/tablet and reinstalling, but that doesn’t fix the problem.

Looks to me like a bug in Plex for Android. Has anyone else had this problem? Any solution?

What version of the Android app are you using? There was a bug like this previously, but it’s been fixed for a while.

Thanks for reply. I checked and apparently I’m using the latest version – 8.11.0 – of the Plex app on my phone. I’m using Plex Server version 1.21.1.3876.

Same issue, just started this week, my Nvidia Shield (AndroidTV) and my OnePlus6 (Android Phone) have both stopped syncing to my computer server. My computer server is working fine and so is my Roku Tv and all my FireTV Sticks with Plex are working fine. Just my Android devices stopped working a few days ago.

Literally right after posting this, all my Android devices started working? They’ve been down for a few days and I’ve done nothing except post this. WTH??

What strange behavior you report! Wish my problem would fix itself, but it hasn’t yet.

Same problem here started 26th Jan , recommended / library not showing correct library content. Also even worse when i unpin various content from sidebar it duplicates others so i end up with multiple identical libraries… Tried roll back reinstalling twice no joy
