Fails happen whether I’m running Plex on my Fire devices, or my Android TV. Does NOT happen when running on PC.
For the past month or so, when I click on the “Library” tab, Plex will display some OTHER library. For example, I’m in the Movies library, and click the Library tab, and I get the SHOWS library instead. Or I’m in the Music library, and I click “Library” and it shows me my PICTURES library. It’s driving me nuts!
Also, it tends to revert back to the “Recommended” view, even though I have “Remember tab” turned on, and the “Library” tab is underlined. (As a side note, I’d love to be able to turn off Recommendations in all libraries. I don’t want or need them, so it’s particularly annoying that that’s what displays. I mean, shouldn’t the DEFAULT be “Library”?)
It’s CRAZY! Not to mention frustrating as heck!
Now, once I get it to display the actual Library (by moving to a different library, then going back and trying to click Library again, over and over until it finally displays), if I move off that library, when it comes back, it USUALLY shows the correct library once again - unless I make the grave error of clicking “Recommended” by accident. Then it’s back to the wrong library contents again.
Before you ask, yes I’ve tried rebooting the devices. MANY times.
I thought it was my Fire TV device. But I just changed that to a brand new Fire Cube, and it still does it. Plus, it happens on my Android TV as well. So it’s got to be Plex.
I have tried deleting the library completely, then re-adding it. Same result. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling the server. No joy. And like I said, it works fine on the PC version - it’s just the TV apps that fail so miserably.
When I choose “Timeline” it does show me the correct contents. But then I move over to “Library”, and it’s back to bug-time!
