Plex on Android TV doesn't support "Advertise as Player"

I’m using the Chromecast with Google TV (4K) which doesn’t seem to respond to certain scripts I’m running or being remote controlled. Everything works fine when I watch from my iPhone or Samsung TV. It seems the API is disabled on Android TV devices as others have had this issue on the Fire TV Stick.
