Plex on AppleTV 4k 2022 can't play iPhone DV videos?

I just got an appleTV 4k latest 2022 model and when I try to play videos taken from my iPhone13 PRO that’s in DV, it just stutters and the colors look like they are trying to animate over a real video and all super saturated. If I turn the setting in Plex to disable the new video player, things work fine. What’s the issue here?

Still not working at all. Any ideas? When I change the video player to use the old one in advanced settings, it seems to play ok, but then regular DV movies don’t work and instead try to transcode. Is the iPhone DV video format just not supported? Seems like a big problem when the iPhone videos can’t play on the appleTV.
