Latest Apple TV PLEX app broke DV?

Server Version#: 1.25.2.5319
Player Version#: 7.26

Hardware: LG CX OLED, Apple TV 4K (not newest)

Problem: When playing DV files, it will transcode instead of direct play. It will say “App cannot direct play this item. No direct play profile exists for protocol http, with container mp4, and video codec hevc.” I get sound but no video. Just the spinning spike. The TV will show HDR in the corner instead of Dolby Vision. It worked before the last update (or last 2 update?).

Troubleshoot: PLEX app for the TV (WebOS) plays fine. Infuse app for Apple TV plays fine. TV will show Dolby Vision when movie starts. Everything is great. So I don’t believe it’s the PLEX server or the TV, or any hardware. Allow Direct Play is set to ON. Match frame and content is ON. I have tried toggle these but doesn’t work. I have also Restore the Apple TV from scratch, restart PLEX server, reload PLEX app.

In the 7.26 release notes: “-Improve compatibility with Dolby Vision video.” I think that’s what broke it.

Any thoughts?

I have the same problem all my DV material fails to play. (HEVC, 4K)
