Don’t have a fire device but remembered seeing this thread:

Currently, when using Plex within the Kids profile, you cannot access or make use of the external SD Card. This means you are limited to the 7GB of internal storage for downloading media. If you run Plex in the adult profile, you can access SD Card just fine. Feature request is that Plex allow Kids Profile to access and make use of external SD Card for downloading media for offline play
