Prepared my iPhone 16 pro for some traveling yesterday. Downloaded some movies, to be able to watch them even if I am on a train (bad cellular connection).
But I have major headaches:
Downloaded movies (original quality) have issues with subtitles. Some subs are displayed wrong (only one line displayed), and sometimes you have to disable/enable the subtitle to get it to even show up. Downloaded movies seems to need internetconnection aswell cause the movie seem to stop if there are network problems (causing resume-functionality to malfunction aswell).
Similar issues appear when streaming from my Synology NAS (DS923+, transcoding to 2mbps 720p). When there’s bad network, the app really is unpredictable. It doesn’t pause the movie when the connection is poor, but the movie kind of breaks and resume-functionality breaks here aswell.
Is it just me?
