Subtitles won’t load/download iPad app

Hello, I am using the plex player on my iPad streaming over the internet and also downloaded files on the go. For some movies I want to download subtitles like I do on my plex app on my Apple TV.

When I search for subtitle files it does come up with a list, I make a selection, but then when I return to the settings the subtitles are still set to off. This happens whatever I try to do.

Any help much appreciated.

Same here with my iPhone. It’s been a longtime that Plex did not solve this problem. My alternative for now is Emby.

Can someone from plex please acknowledge this issue? Looks like it has been around for a long time. As a paid up plex pass user it’s a real shame not to have this feature functioning.

Any time line for a fix would be appreciated.

Still hoping there is a solution for this issue in the works? Really regretting my lifetime plex pass purchase right now as this is a big limitation to the main reason that I bought it.

Same here. Tried everything without luck. Subtitles show selected on the movie screen and the playback settings while the movie is running. After selecting None ist slected if I return to settings. Really annoying and actually killing using Plex for me. Looks like an issue of the iPadOS/iOS verision, because subtitles work for the same movies on Apple TV.
