Plex on Mac taking up 46% of a CPU core when doing nothing

This has been an ongoing topic with Plex on MacOS for many years, where the QTWebEngineProcess takes an unreasonable amount of processing power when the client is running at idle.

If someone from Plex could confirm if this is just the way it is, or can something be done? A sub element of Plex shouldn’t be constantly be using the highest amount of CPU on my machine, when I’m not playing any media or doing any navigation.
