So it is a smart tv with no app store, So I opened up its browser and tried to open plex.tv/web but it remains stuck in the plex logo, any suggestion to fix it?
What browser (and version) are you using on this TV?
I remember that the native browser on a Sony can be quite restricted – even on newer models. I suppose its simply missing some basic features required by Plex.
