Web app to TV mode?

Hi,

I cannot run the Plex app on my Sony TV anymore, because Vewd has decided to stop supporting it, so I’m using the browser on the smart tv and go to app.plex.tv

This works but it’s really difficult navigating around with a remote control to move the mouse. So my question is: is there a way to access my plex server via a URL that has the tv mode enabled? Because there is no setting I can adjust right?

Plex not working on Sony

Found a way to open directly a working Plex from your phone when you are on the same LAN. First you need to set your TV to use a pre-shared key. Navigate to: [Settings] → [Network] → [Home Network Setup] → [IP Control] Set [Authentication] to [Normal and Pre-Shared Key] There should be a new menu entry [Pre-Shared Key]. Set it to 0000 . If these two methods don’t work anymore, then you can only switch to an external device with a Plex client. Chromecast, FireTV, nVidia Shield, Apple TV etc pp.
