Hi, I am new to Plex so still figuring stuff out but I am confused with one thing.
I paid the one time fee so I could stream my media to my phone when I am not home. But can I do this to multiple devices? I want to use my phone and tablet but does this mean I need to pay the one time fee, again on my tablet even though it is using the same google account?
I am hoping that I do not need to pay again on the tablet as that’s nuts. Also how would that work anyway since its the same google account?
I can stream on my phone no issue but my tablet keeps saying I need to pay the one time fee or get the pass.
I tried the restore purchase option and sent an email in but this did not help
When you purchase the one time fee you are purchasing it from that app store with that app store account. That purchase does not transfer to other app stores or other app store accounts.
If you buy it from the Google Play app store you can install and use it on as many devices you have that you can install it from the Google Play app store with your Google Play app store account that purchased it.
Amazon devices like Fire Tablets, though also Android, do not have the Google Play store
So I have an issue then. My phone and tablet are on the same google account, the same email I use for my Plex account as well and yet, I cant playback from my own library without getting the I need to pay message.
You can try clearing the data for Google Play Services and restart phone. Make sure the app has the contacts permission as well. it needs it to check for purchase
If you just sent the email to get it activated those folks might have other things you can try when they get back to you
