Hi i am new to Plex.
I have a little problem with some files i have been trying to add.
All files are MKV or MP4 files.
It seems like there are some files i cant add to my web show library but if i try to add it to the movie library it works just fine - what can it be?
Some shows i have been trying to add only find from episode 10-24…
Naming?
You have to name according to the guides.

/TV Shows/ShowName/Season 02/ShowName – s02e17 – Optional_Info.ext
It is just weird because plex can find episode 10 through 24?
Even though they arent named as you specify
Plex uses TVDB for TV shows and all episodes are there

Yeah… But why is it plex can only episode 10 to 24 even though the naming are the same?
Poor file naming may work, may work for a while, right up until it don’t work any more.
Correct file naming works all day, every day.
Chose wisely.
Because plex can be insane sometimes.
Not a very technically correct answer. 
You are experiencing the limits of heuristic programming.
Okay, okay… Let’s just say that the scanner saw the 2 digit numbers in the filenames and concluded they were infact episodes.
Easy way to find out.

Add the number 0 to episodes 1~9 (01,02,03,etc…) then update your library.

I can only warn you that relying on this workaround will eventually bite you in the back.
Resort to the officially support naming schema for all newly added files.
My vote goes to fixing the file names and Plex Dancing the show.
The speed at which that works should send a clear message as to the path required to achieve PlexBliss…
Unless battling Plex tooth and nail over file names - is something you really get into.

I agree 100%. I do not support this workaround. I was merely giving a better, more technical explanation to why some episodes were found and some weren’t.
