Plex Pass and restricting access to some drives

Server Version#: newest
Player Version#: newest

Hi

I have non plex pass HTPC with 3 drives and win10. One drive with my dad stuff, second with my brother stuff and 3rd with mine. When i log to https://app.plex.tv/desktop on other computer, i can add new libraries by exploring full tree with every drive connected to HTPC.
I would want plex not to have access to some stuff to the point its not possible to add library with some disks or folders. Is this even possible?

I know that plex pass gives ability to add users so (probably) everyone will saw only their watched movies like on Netflix. Im curious if Plex Pass gives ability to restrict access to entire disks or folders on machine server is installed?

Thanks!

Plex will only access those folders which you actively add to Plex libraries.

If you don’t want to have some particular folders in Plex, don’t add them into Plex libraries.
It is in general a good idea, to separate media which you want in Plex and media which you don’t want into separate folders.

Only one person (the server owner) is able to add additional libraries or edit existing libraries.
If you share access to your plex server with your family, they won’t be able to alter any of its settings.

If you create a separate plex.tv account for each of your family members, you can share your server with them – even without Plex Pass.
However, Fast User Switching, (which comes in handy for a shared device like the TV in the living room) is only possible with Plex Pass.
Plex Pass also allows a more granular access control than just libraries.
