Plex pass question

Hi

I am looking at upgrading my plex subscription and getting a plex pass. However one question that I have. I know that with a plex pass you can acess to the apps for free, is there on a limit on how many device you can install the apps on? The reason I am asking is I would like to have the app on my phone, a tablet and my wife’s phone.

You can do that without problems. Just make sure to invite your wife’s Plex user account into your Plex Home afterwards. Only then she will inherit the right to use the mobile app from your Plex pass.

You could also instead buy the Plex app 3 times, if that was the only reason to get a Plex pass.

Thank you Otto!

So let me see if I understand. I would upgrade my main account and get the plex pass. I then I would have to create new free accounts for my wife and the tablet and invite those to plex users accounts into my plex library after it has been upgraded?

Would it be easier if we all logged in with the same account?

You only need separate accounts if the device is used by a different person.

If you are alternating between two devices, you sign them both into the same Plex account, ofc.

All persons using the same account is not satisfying. You will find that the playback status from other persons is getting in the way all the time.
