This is something I’ve thought about for a while. Some of us put a ton of work into customizing our libraries. I personally do a lot of manual changes to box art and sorting and stuff.
I do my own incremental backups on my linux server with a script using rsync, but I think it would be a nice Plex Pass perk to have hosted backups of your metadata with an easy restore feature should something ever happen to the server.
In most cases, our media content is on a NAS or something, but the server itself and all of the metadata is usually stored on a regular drive and it would be a nightmare to lose it all.
I don’t have a great need for Plex Pass since the current features aren’t terribly useful to me, although I would like to get it just to support Plex in the future. I would find this kind of perk to be very valuable with the plex pass.
