Plex PC App - DL and Server Connection Issues

Hey there! I am having issues with the Plex app on PC, which I use for downloading from my friends’ libraries, separate from my Plex Media Server running on a Mac, connected to a NAS, which is humming along nicely.

The other night, a bunch of downloads from a friend on the PC Plex app stalled out or something. I wanted to continue downloading, but didn’t want to dupe up anything, so I started troubleshooting how to clear the stalled out downloads window/tab/screen…

I tried uninstalling and re-installing, deleting all the Plex cache files, and then even looking into editing the registry, but wasn’t sure if that was the right move.

At the moment, I can’t access my server from my Windows 11 PC, which isn’t a huge loss, I don’t do any watching on this, I just download and then move the files to my NAS managed by my Mac. But, I think I need to reconnect to enable downloads again?

Sorry if this is a vague troubleshooting issue, just looking to clean this up and continue downloading from friends. Thanks for any help!

I finally solved this. I had too many other instances of Plex running, which even if you clear the Plex cache on one machine, apparently doesn’t do enough if you have other instances up.

I tried uninstalling, clearing cache, reinstalling about a dozen times to no avail.

Finally logged out, closed, and deauthorized every Plex instance running, did those steps, and am totally back to normal.

How do I mark this as resolved, if that helps the forums at all?
