Plex Performance on Raspberry Pi 3 b+

Hi

I’m thinking to setup Plex media server with Raspberry P1 3 b+ and a WD My Book 8TB HDD.

What is the performance should I expect?

Suggestion are welcome.

Not good. Plex is designed around transcoding and the RasPi sucks at transcoding. It’d only be suitable for an edge case where you have a couple local-only clients and you’re willing to bend over backwards changing lots of settings, pre-transcoding videos, and disciplining your users. Even then you can’t guarantee no transcoding, since something as simple as subtitles can trigger it.
