Plex picking 16:9 posters for movies (so they're all cropped wrong)

Server: 1.25.5.5492

For the last few releases, adding movies to Plex, Plex is picking a 16:9 poster so you just see a zoomed in version of the movie poster (cropping the 16:9 to a little box art image).

Is there some way to fix this other than manually setting the poster for all the ones it picked wrong? or setting it to default to the embedded one (or just default to a box art size one)?

Thanks!

I assume you have your movies organized in an “other video” type library (or set the agent to Personal Media)?
Otherwise, movie type libraries will show your posters in 2:3 aspect ratio.

Nope. Movies are set to “Movies”. Yeah, sorry, it’s showing them all in 2:3, but seems to be picking 16:9 posters. =/

Just realized maybe iFlicks is embedding a 16:9 poster now and Plex is just using the embedded one. =/

This can happen if you configure your library to prefer local metadata / assets.
