Plex Player for Xbox One?

At Build, Microsoft teased Windows 8 apps targeted for Xbox One:

I would pay ridiculous amounts of money for a Plex Player app on Xbox One.  That would be the ultimate living room media center.

That'd be great!  Also, looking forward to better cross device compiling so hopefully the Win8 app will get recompiled for XboxOne and WP8!  The current WP app is lacking.

I really hope plex come to the xbox one, currently using plex on logitech revue, Roku 2 and windows 8 pc.

I can retire the Logitech revue when the xbox one is released with a plex app.

All I can say is...  tell Microsoft you want Plex on the Xbox.

So far, the Xbox user experience has been a curated walled garden.  That may change with the One, or it may not.  But if you want us in the garden, tell Microsoft.

Could you post a link where it would be best/ most effective to send Microsoft an email to let them know we would like Plex on the Xbox one?

I’m sure Microsoft just announced that they will be supporting Self - Publishing for indie game developers for the Xbox One. With this approach, doesn’t that open the door a Plex. That would be truly awesome

Indie games != apps.

At least not when it comes to Xbox, historically speaking. We’ll see.

WinRT Apps confirmed to run on Xbox ONE!!!!!  PLEX WinRT App on XBox ONE should be possible!!!

Any article that says this is probably overly optimistic:

Windows 8, Xbox One and soon Windows Phone will run same code across devices.

But one can hope for the future to be better than the present… :slight_smile:
