Plex player not working on MacOS

I recently installed the latest version of Plex downloaded from the website. When I try to run it, all I get is a black screen. Nothing else. Anyone knows why?

MacOS version: 10.14.1

Are using “dark mode”? And what model Mac do you have?

Im using the late 2015 retina mbp and i tried both with dark mode on and off. I was initially using dark mode

I tried turning dark mode off, restarting and downloading a fresh copy. Still no luck
