Plex Player on Android refuses to "Direct Play" some mkv files (Transcoding also busted)

Server Version#: v1.32.2.7100
Player Version#: 3.0

So all of a sudden I can’t get certain mkv files to direct play on neither my Plex on mobile nor on my Nvidia Shield Pro anymore. Plex automatically skips to transcoding, but then it won’t even really do that (yellow circle of death). Transcoding works perfectly fine however on my Macbook.
Any thoughts? (I’ve included a zip file of my logs)

Okay so if I turn off “Use hardware-accelerated video encoding” the files WILL play.
