Plex player on apple tv 4k shows blurred pictues

Hi I’m new to the plex world so apologies if I am asking stupid questions or not supplying relevant information.

When I view photos on the apple tv (4k) although I can see the thumbnail images OK, when I try and view the photo in detail by clicking on it, or clicking slide show, the image is so blurred as to be unviewable. It seems to be processing as there is a spinning wheel in the middle of the image.
