Plex player on Phillips Projector - sound output to Sonos

Hi,

Quick question please.

I’ve just bought a Phillips PicoPix Max 620 mini projector for use at home on my home network. I also have a few Sonos speakers.

I’ve downloaded Plex and have it installed on the projector and can browse and play my video library from my computer over the network.

I’d like to play the video to the projector but have the projector send the audio to my Sonos speaker of possible. I can achieve this using Bluetooth to a Bluetooth enabled Sonos speaker but if I could send the audio directly to the Sonos over WiFi so I can see it on the app that would be great.

Is this doable please? And how if so?

Thanks

Mark

That would be up to your projector. Plex does not have a feature to do this.

Many thanks - I could have sworn I saw a pop up when I installed Plex on the projector about Sonos and Plex Pass.

Thanks for the reply, I must’ve been mistaken as I can’t see it anywhere when hunting for it.

Regards

If you are running the Plex for mobile app, there is an option to send the audio to Sonos devices, but that’s for music. You can’t have video on one device and audio on another.

Many thanks. I think that’s what it must’ve been.
