Plex playlists issues

I’m having two issues with Plex playlists. I’m on Plex for Windows with a Synology NAS, but I think this is valid for all platforms.

  1. Not being able to add an episode multiple times to the same playlist.
My kids a have a common playlist that will play random episodes on shuffle, but the one kid has a 100 episodes she likes while the other one has only a few. I’d like to be able to add the few multiple times so that they’ll be randomly selected more often.

  2. When this playllist is playing, on shuffle, and I want to see a specific episode I find the episode and choose play next. However this completely messes up the play queue.
What I would like is for this single selected episode to be added to the play next, be played, and then for the original playlist on shuffle to continue. But instead the playlist is filled with more episodes from that specific show. Is there any way to get around that?

I don’t know if this should be posted in feature requests or bug reports, but I’d appreciate any input.

The first is by design. I remember conversations when playlists were first introduced where some wanted to prevent duplicates in playlists, and others wanted them. There may be a request in the Feature Suggestions forum about this.

Ok, I suspected as much.
I’d rather see a warning when trying to add duplicates and let the user choose. That way everyone could get their way.

The second issue I have might be a bug then.

Anyway, thanks for your input.
