After the new update on iOS, when playing a TV series it doesn’t move onto the next episode when it is finished every time. 50% of the time it will play an episode over and over. Also, when watching a movie it will repeat the movie after it is finished. I don’t know if this is related, but it is annoying. How do you stop this behaviour?

Every time I advance one episode forward, it will play the episode, but it will repeat the episode for some reason every time.
Sounds like there’s an off-by-one error somewhere in a recent push?
So now I’m in manual navigation mode. Again, another likely consequence for this totally unnecessary “New Experience Update” that raised more questions than it answered, and removed more than it added.
I’m experiencing the same issue. I first noticed it when an episode replayed unexpectedly, and now I see my movies are also repeating. I’ve confirmed that I’m running the latest iOS, Synology, and Plex Server updates. Hopefully, Plex can address this bug soon. Thank you for your attention.
Also seeing this same issue on iPad on the latest Plex version (IPad Pro 2024, 13”). Shows will stream from Plex Server and, at the end, will replay the same episode.
If I stop watching before the “next” episode loads, I will see the just-watched episode in the Up Next list with the time set to 0. I am wondering if the app is querying for the next episode before the current one is marked as watched.
It is a known issue being looked into. Seems to be happening with files that are 60 minutes or longer.
It’s been going on for a loooooong time.
I’ve had it happen with shows under 60 minutes. I don’t think that’s it.
Edit: I just had an episode repeat and this is after I turned OFF auto-play next. The episode length was 48 minutes, also.
