Plex seems to be falling apart, problems on 2 nvidia Sheila’s but having done nothing except update server software (that’s always fun to do) but 4 people linked to my server have started to have problems playing most video files but some do work. Errors are all todo with direct play, but everyone is having this problem, guys please help
Would you mind sharing some more details? Your post is quite vague… not even sure if they fail to stream at all or if there’s some other impact?!
Sorry, upto a month or so no one that shared with me had problems, now 90% of movies and tv will not play, my mum has a roku box and while it tries to watch something this comes up:
App connot direct play this item. Direct play is disabled.
If I allow direct play it still will not play. Something has changed as all shared people are getting a version of this error and I have not changed a thing

Sounds like the behavior you would get if transcoding is disabled on the server and the video/media is not supported to be directly played/streamed by the client.
