Could we have a way where we can set tracks to start/end at a specific time. Many tracks have long intros or outros, but I would like the option to keep the full track but have it skip to certain time.
e.g. Menswear - The 1975 has a 90 second intro which I almost always would skip when on shuffle, but in the context of the album I would like to keep.
iTunes used to have this, but since moving to streaming this feature hasn’t been maintained in many of the services. A simple setting to specifically jump to 1:30 in would be great!
hi,
I have a wide collection of electronic music which often is released in their extended version, ie. a track with minutes of rythm intro/outro in order for DJs to synch and mix it during lives.
it would be great to have a per-song option in order to choose the playing time window to consider, ie. to set start/end time markers for plex to play only the main part of the track.
I would LOVE for y’all to add custom start and end times for songs. This is especially helpful for live albums that have banter before and/or after the tracks. I’ve screenshotted what this looks like in Apple Music.
I don’t think this would be terribly hard to implement, and would be super helpful. Probably the thing I miss most from AM.
I would like to add to this: it was popular in the 90’s to have a “secret track.” Basically, the last track would, for example, be 16 minutes long. The song would be about 3 minutes long, followed by 10 minutes of silence, into a final, hidden song.
Most of these tracks are not anything you’d want to listen to in passing. Being able to say “yeah, end this song at 3:32” instead of destructively editing an audio file - especially if you don’t have lossless copies - would be incredibly useful.
I assume the PlexAmp team is too busy playing around with AI to implement a feature that’s been in iTunes since it launched, but I hate that PlexAmp doesn’t have this kind of functionality.
