Been using Plex for podcasts for quite a while now and finally am reporting this pretty major bug that I’ve had on all my android devices (talking everything from a S8+ to a Galaxy Fold 2).
The podcasts overall work great, but one key thing is making me want to switch; over 50% of the time Plex looses my place in the podcast and starts over completely.
This isn’t just happening to podcasts that I’ve paused, swapped to another, and then come back to later. It happens to ones I’m actively listening to, today for example in the car I was listening to one, paused it to go through a drive through, never closed the app or locked my screen, the bar still showed I was about 10 minutes in, I press play on the app and it restarts from the beginning.
At first I thought maybe it was just my device or something but since it’s been happening for well over a year at this point, and 4 different phones, I know it’s not just me.
Do we have any idea what the cause of this is? Loosing my place in a paused podcast is awful.
