Is there a way to change the default when tapping on a show or season? When I open a TV Show it opens Season 1 instead of the TV Show page, meaning if I want to open a different season I need to tap the three dot button and tap “Go to Show” to actually open the page I wanted in the first place.
On top of that, selecting a season from the TV Show page defaults to opening the page for Episode 1, so to see the Season Page I need to again tap the three dot button, and then “Go to Season” to see the page I wanted.
This seems like a stupid default behaviour which just adds a ton of extra steps to navigating? Why not default to the TV / Season page so we can drill down to the content we want in the first place?
If you mean from Recently Added (RA) row on home screen or library recommended screen. Multiple episodes when added within 21 hours are combined in to one listing in RA. If they are all in a season then that season is what shows in RA because that is what was recently added and clicking on it will go to that season
On TV and Mobile player apps long pressing on the select button or poster respectively will bring up a menu to which has the option “Go to Show” to open the show page.
In the Web or Desktop app then you can lick on the show title under the poster to go to the show page.
If you are the server admin you can Edit the TV library or individual shows to not display seasons at all and just display all episodes from all seasons in one big list. This is under Advanced of the library or the individual shows. There is a library setting to only do this for single season/series shows
I mean on the iOS Plex Experience Preview App
When in a TV Library and “Browse” Section, selecting a TV Show will take me to “Season 1” in every case.
Long pressing on the TV Show Poster brings up a menu with “Watch” and “Mark as Watched” only
I am saying that the default behaviour would make more sense to select a TV Show and have it take me to the TV Show homepage, NOT to the “Season 1” page by default.

afaik that should be fixed soon in the Preview app. I am on a slightly later build that I think should be released soonish to users that it does go to correct show page

Any update on this? Currently I’m still having the same problem, both on the iOS and tvOS apps where selecting a TV show takes me straight to “Season 1” instead of to the main “Show” page, its really frustrating and makes Plex borderline unusable for me with all the extra buttons to get to where I actually wanted to go in the first place.
Can you please get the app logs from after doing this. I still cannot reproduce with the 2025.7.0 (888) version released earlier today. This screenshot is from clicking on a show in library browse view.
