I don’t think this has anything to do with server version, as you can change a profile pic even with your server completely offline. But I am having increasing difficulty to get user home profile pics to show up on certain clients, especially a web client (chrome, specifically) and Shield. Apple TV seems to consistently show a user profile pic better. Else I just get a “grey outline” shape, and often not even the “colored large initial.”
When messing with profile pics using plex web interface, I can get the pic to upload fine. And it seems to stick. Randomly, will get like a “HEIC format not supported thing.” So I deleted all profile pics and tried to start from scratch, and still a lot of weird behaviors.
I deleted plex app on Shield, reinstalled, and reconnected. Still very not optimal behavior. One cannot consistently have the profile picture show up on login screen (everyone has a PIN), it is often just blank, and once logged in, just a blank circle at top for the user where profile pic should be.
