Plex randomly going offline. Please help!

I hate seeing these. I’ve seen one once before and it was beyond my ability to figure it out beyond the player was causing it.

If you would be kind enough to recreate the failure, with the player set for logging.

Now please recreate the playback failure one more time.

This time, grab both the server logs and the player logs
with the two, I can take them to Engineering.
Please also annotate player and server versions.

Here you go. This time I tried to play “Harry Potter: Return to Hogwarts” on mobile.

Any update on this? My server is still experiencing random crashes. Should I reinstall Plex?

I am also having my Plex server drop out on a daily basis for less than 18 hours on then the app closes. I have had Plex running for over 4 years with little problems but this is new. Can you look at my log files, this has been going on for 3 months now.

PS: I did a re-install and it is the same.

Updating my server to version 1.25.4.5487 solved the issue. No more crashes, and transcoding works.

Server up and running without any crashes for 5 days 14 hours now.
